A book I had recently read--------Chinese Tales of the Supernatural
I was just passing by the library when i found the title of this book attracts my eyeball.I had once been a supernatural tales fan, so I had a quick scan upon the book.
I soon found out that the book contains of 14 stories, any most of them haven't seen before!!!
To my excitement I immediately borrowed it and went to read.
This is the list of the story in this storybook:
I'll give you all one example.I picked the 5th story"The Man Who Could Walk Through Walls".
The story is about an idle rich man who wanted to learn magic from a Taoist Monk.He went to the Taoist Monk to learn magic and the Monk demanded him to cut woods for weeks. But the man didn't obey the order, he think that he had came for magic and not for cutting wood. The Monk knew that and didn't say anything. One day, the man came before the Monk and ask him to teach him magic. The monk said ok and he showed him how to walk through the walls. The man was so happy because he had learnt an amazaing magic, and he rushed back to his home and showed to the people's he knew. But instead of passing through the wall he knock on his head instead!!!!
So this story tells us that if you never put effort on anything, there will be no payback.
The story is so simple but the advice given us is so useful in our life.
So u should try and read it too!It will guide you to a better life.

Another book recommended by me
The book is called"chinese cinderella".Its a true story of an unwanted daughter----the author
The author's name is Adeline Yen Mah for now, her original name is Yen Jun Ling. The word Mah is adapted from her husband's surname.
This books surrounded authors unwanted childhood from her birth until age 14
It had been a hard time for her and i feel bad for her
Her story is very touching, and i almost cried out of it.
The main characters are her family---Big elder sister lydia, Big elder brother gregory,Second elder brother edgar,Third elder brother James, her herself adeline, 4th younger brother franklin(who is her stepmother's son and so do her 5th younger sister) and 5th younger sister Susan, her aunt she liked the most aunt baba, her grandfather she called yeye, her father, and her stepmother---a half french half chinese, she called her niang
She was a very unlucky girl, her mother died of giving birth to her,and her whole family considered her bad luck
There were only few person who still loves her----her yeye , her aunt baba and her second brother edgar.
Although she were born amidst hardship, she didn't blame anyone, not even a sigh or a despair.
She was really good at study, a week after the kindergarden had started, she'd already been leading the class.
She was born just a few years before the Second World War, this affect her life a little.
She and her family had moved to Shanghai from tianjin due to the war, and she started her primary school life there and she continued to be the top of the class.BUT, the life in Shanghai was more pathetic then it was in tianjin. It happened a lot of things during that Shanghai period.
After a few incidents, she was sent to Hong Kong and her secondary school started there.
OMG, what can I say......SHE IS A GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!She skipped grade to form five just at the age of 13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By this she pleasured her father and she was sent to England to study further and she became a writer and a physician.Of course this is just a brief view of the whole book.If you want to find out what happened during this 14 years she passed with a hard time, go to the library now and get it borrowed!!!!!!!!!!
